VROM, VROM DON’T WONDER.

Gallery Benzinka, CZ

2009

The skeleton of a former “Benzinka” petrol station near Slany is designated for one-day events. ‘Vroom Vroom don’t wonder’ happening consisted of marking the place as “Galerie Benzinka”, followed by offering petrol to the visitors for free. Petrol as a symbol representing art. Indefinite amounts of petrol were poured into the car tanks from a petrol can. It was taken by the artists themselves only – in the same way as art is accepted by purely artistic society. Petrol was the only thing which the visitors could get – accept – take away in their own tanks and use in any way.
